Embedding a Google Map into an interstitial

Adding a Google Map can help direct members to the exact location of an event or potential resource. This helps eliminate potential issues with typos in addresses or limitations in sharing events.

How would you use this:

  • Point to events not located at the church
  • Announcements for new campuses
  • Promote different campuses in an Attend message
  • Events that are at some campuses and not others

How to Implement

This feature is a built in Google feature when you share a location. Locate the address on Google and click share. It will give you an embed option. From there, you'll copy and paste into the code into the interstitial.

To keep the map within the confines of the interstitial, find "width" within the code. Replace the number within the apostrophes to '100%'. This will set the width to 100% of the container it's within. If you'd like it smaller, set a smaller percentage.
